About the Cabin
ABOUT THE CABIN
The cabin is 2,100 square feet and has 2 bedrooms and 3 full Baths. The cabin has an open concept living and dining area. There are two gas fireplaces in the cabin for enjoying cozy nights be the fire. The basement has custom-made bunk beds that sleep 4 and plenty of space for socializing, gaming, playing darts, or just relaxing on the the lower level deck. The best part of the cabin is the expansive main level deck that offers the best views in Blue Ridge.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS : 8-10 People
- The master on the main floor has a king bed and a private deck.
- The upstairs bedroom has a queen and a twin and a private deck.
- The upstairs loft has a full sized futon
- The Basement has two full over twin bunk beds.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar that overlooks the dining area and living area. The kitchen is equipped with a gas range, a microwave, toaster oven, and dishwasher – but no garbage disposal.

Gravel Road & Parking Notes: The road to the cabin is two miles up and is a mixture of gravel and pavement. SUVs and AWD vehicles are best, but sedans and minivans with 2WD will also make it as long as you go slowly.
This cabin is on top of a mountain, so please be patient as you drive up and be aware of other vehicles and neighbors.
Parking for 4 vehicles max. NO PARKING ON THE STREET.
Bears of Mt. Pisgah
There are black bears on Mt. Pisgah!
Please understand that you might see a bear while staying at Black Bear Hideaway. This is their neighborhood too.
Black bears are typically not aggressive unless they feel threatened, or they feel they that must protect their cubs.
The best thing you can do to avoid seeing a bear on the porch is to never leave food or trash out. Please do not hang up any bird feeders or hummingbird feeders while bears are active (we learned this one the hard way).
